The Sanctuary is opened to all  visitors
EVERYDAY - 12noon to 4pm WITH activities which are ;
1. National Geo Video documentary @ 1pm, 130pm & 3.45pm*
2. Handfeeding, overland elephant rides and swimming with elephants starting from 2pm onwards
    EXCEPT Fridays where activities will start @ 245pm due to the long Friday prayers break!

TAKE NOTE - TAKE NOTE - TAKE NOTE!!!!
If there are heavy rains, lightning, strong winds OR the river is flooded , ALL activities will be
stopped IMMEDIATELY for the safety of visitors, resident elephants and staff alike!

ELEPHANT RIDING SESSION IS LIMITED TO ONLY 100 pax PER DAY!
Only the first 120 REGISTERED visitors with YELLOW stickers will be allowed to ride the
elephants and each visitor will be allowed to ride ONCE only!

Please be advised - otherwise.... the elephants AND staff will be under a lot of stress!!!

Kindly OBSERVE & RESPECT this, please!

have blatantly
disregarded this ruling.
This is an ALL muslim & malay community -
so
PLEASE
- respect this!

ARRIVAL ARRANGEMENTS AT THE SANCTUARY.
1. Please park your vehicles at the open parking space
   
It is advisable not to leave anyone or
valuables in  the vehicles and do ensure that your car lights are switched off, too!

 

2. Register your group INCLUDING your guide at the Visitor Registration Office - it is advisable that you have valid
    identity or documents to present  for registration. It is an
offence under the
Malaysian Immigration Act if
    you are travelling without ANY valid identity documents. Anything could happen on your journey to OR back and 
    it will be impossible to manage any identification procedures.

    If you wish - you can have your lunch at WARUNG TOK EMPAT across the bridge that serves chicken rice only!

    While waiting for the activities to begin, feel free to visit our Interpretive Section for further information
    about elephants & Krau Wildlife Game Reserve. You can also watch a video
documentary of how wild elephants
    are rescued and relocated to permanent undisturbed jungle reserves @ 1pm, 1.30pm and 3.45pm - Seating is
    limited to  40 pax only!

     3.You will be given a sticker to declare that you are a registered visitor.
      A YELLOW sticker means that you will be allowed to join ALL activities concerned, RED indicates
      that you are here just to observe while GREEN says that you are here on an official government
      department-to-department visit.

Letter of Indemnity must be filled, signed & witnessed before you/your group are allowed

      into the activity area. If you refuse to register - you will NOT be allowed to enter the activity area.
      This a government facility where there are rules to observe, respect and follow.
 




Note - ANY commercial and filming production intentions and requests must have a letter from
the Department's HQ in Kuala Lumpur as this is a government facility!
Only those with a letter from the Department's HQ will be allowed to do any commercial filming!

NO PETS allowed here, too - it will disorientate the elephants AND may bring diseases to the residence elephants!

4. Souvenirs are sold at 2 places - the convenience store AND near Warung Tok Empat - support the local community by
     getting your souvenirs from Warung Tok Empat!

5. Refreshments including lunch are sold WARUNG TOK EMPAT everyday although you are allowed to
     bring your own refreshments into the activity area. Walls Ice (S)creams are sold at the convenience store.
     PORK & ALCOHOL IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TO BE BROUGHT HERE.

   
For big group arrivals with lunch requests 
- you are encouraged to engage the catering services of the Women's Association or
PUSPANITA in support of the Staff
Welfare Fund. Ring 019 964 6643 and inform the person answering that you wish to engage
the services of PUSPANITA's
Catering Services where they offer delicious meals with very reasonable prices!
